Welcoming the news Angus Robertson MP said:

SNP Councillor for Fochabers Lhanbryde Ward, Anita McDonald, said:

“ I am really pleased for Garmouth & Kingston Village Hall, which hosts a wide range of community activities from public meetings to ceilidhs. Village halls are right at the heart of our local communities and are a major focal point of local activity. This is a great result for them.”

Cllr Mike Shand, who is a strong supporter of The Moray Society’s work, said:

“ The Moray Society puts a great deal of hard work into preserving Moray’s culture and heritage and it is great to see them getting an award to help keep those efforts going. In particular the educational work they do with young people to make history exciting and accessible is incredibly important.”
