MORAY MP & MSP HELP OUT AT BARNARDO’S FOR ‘MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY’ PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 28 October 2011 00:00

Moray MP
Angus Robertson and MSP Richard Lochhead will be helping out at a local charity shop as part of ‘Make a Difference Day 2011’.

Mr Robertson & Mr Lochhead will be available for a photo opportunity along with Shop Manager Jane Townsley and her team at the Barnardo's shop at 55 High Street, Elgin on Friday 28th October at 12 noon.

Speaking in advance of the visit Angus Robertson MP said:

I am delighted to have the privilege of volunteering at Barnardo’s shop in Elgin and I am very much looking forward to helping out with whatever tasks are required. The work of charities in our communities is incredibly important and I am pleased to be able to help highlight that work in this small way.

Richard Lochhead MSP said:

Volunteering is a wonderful way of giving something back to the community and is also an opportunity for people to learn new skills. I would very much like to encourage people in Moray to consider volunteering, particularly over the busy Christmas period when many charities like Barnardo’s can really do with extra help, even if its just a few hours a week.
