Moray SNP News
Moray’s MP Angus Robertson has welcomed the Big Lottery Fund’s new Celebrate programme and has encouraged local groups to apply for a slice of the £575,000 that is up for grabs.
The Celebrate programme will fund activities that bring people together – to celebrate something in their local history or a local community hero, to mark something important to their community, or simply to get to know their neighbours better.
Groups can apply for between £500 and £5000 for projects lasting up to twelve months.
Angus Robertson MP said:
“I am delighted that the Big Lottery Fund have launched their new Celebrate programme, which aims to bring people together to celebrate their local communities. The new funding programme is an excellent way to bring people together and celebrate their local community.
“The Celebrate programme is particularly looking for applications for projects which are carrying out intergenerational activity or activity which demonstrates communities coming together to share their diverse cultures.
“This is an excellent opportunity for funding for groups here in Moray, and I would encourage local organisations to apply for some of the £575,000 which is available.”
