Moray SNP News
Angus Robertson MP used his annual visit to Moray Trade Union Council to talk about challenging times ahead for Trade Unions and their members. Mr Robertson was updating members on his work in parliament and the potential impact on workers in Moray. In particular, he highlighted the on going issues that were coming up as a result of the changes to welfare and to Brexit concerns raised by members on the night.
Eileen Morrison EIS Chair of the MTUC commented:
“Last year we had the Trade Union Bill and this year we have Brexit it seems that every year we have new potential threats to workers and their rights. It is always very useful to hear from Mr Robertson as he is at the heart of decision making in Westminster and we appreciate him taking the time to come and speak to us.”
Angus Robertson MP said:
"It was good to meet up with members of Moray Trade Union Council and discuss a range of current issues. Brexit was high on the agenda with members having serious concerns over the impact of Brexit on workers rights.
"The Trade Union Council continue to do an important job of raising issues of concern and promoting workers rights here in Moray and much further afield."
